What is BIO®?
BIO is an interactive analysis and reporting platform that consolidates and delivers multi-sourced information to a broad range of business users. The BIO platform leverages the availability and richness of the full suite of Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Using these tools the BIO development team created an easy to use solution for non-technical business users. BIO enables middle market organizations to implement a cost effective reporting system that is highly adoptable across the entire organization.
Why was BIO developed?

Harvest, Optimize, Present
Harvest. BIO harvests data from hundreds of tables in your accounting and operational systems into a single Unified Data Repository (UDR) designed specifically to provide the most flexible and powerful foundation for reporting and analysis.
Optimize. The standard MBS connectors self-configure to your application and its setup. BIO enhances and builds on this information and the relationships that exist in these applications. The user may choose to optimize and personalize the connectors and how they update the Unified Data Repository. Based on specific user selections, BIO dynamically regenerates the connectors for optimal harvesting of data. BIO enables the non-technical user to model, optimize and add to the structures and relationships that exist in the source system. Hierarchy Builder unlocks you from structures that are predefined in your accounting system. Using one of the most sophisticated tree builders available, you can create hierarchies, aggregates and roll-ups by using standard drag and drop, masking, and ranges. Hierarchies and aggregates can be created for all aspects of the organization. Cubes contain the data. BIO Cube Builder enables the user to build multi-dimensional cubes that cut across the organization, systems and functional areas. Users have complete control over the information contained in the cube and the timeliness of cube updates.
Present. Harvesting and optimizing are the foundations of BIO. The presentation layer builds on this foundation providing the majority of users with the ability to interact with live data in the context that matches their work requirements. Dashboards and Report Cards can be created as needed.
