John French, a driving force in the field of business intelligence (BI) for more than 20 years, is Chief Software Architect for BIO Analytics Corp. As lead developer of the company’s groundbreaking BIO® mid-market business intelligence platform, a SQL Server-centric application that provides a simple and intuitive interface to Microsoft’s suite of BI and data administration products, French has been instrumental in building and deploying affordable, state-of-the-art BI and business analytics solutions for mid-sized companies. He has a unique depth of experience in the field, having spearheaded large, complex, enterprise-scale projects focused on financial reporting and analysis for a number of leading companies across Europe, North America and Australasia, including Compaq, Bankers Trust and Grand Metropolitan. BI software developed by French has been used in more than 30 countries.

French began his career as a financial analyst – experience that has proven invaluable in understanding user requirements and delivering practical solutions to client challenges. At Compaq, he was the architect of a pan-European Forecasting System using Essbase that was rolled out in 23 countries. At PARIS Technologies, a leading provider of OLAP solutions, among other projects French developed a breakthrough global budgeting system for the international offices of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

French is well versed in Microsoft technologies, including Visual Basic, SQL Server, as well as System W, Essbase, TM1, PowerOLAP, Oracle OLAP and Analysis Services. Among his more significant software development achievements was the programming of the client-side portion of ACCPAC International's eTransact™ product. In addition to significant software development and design expertise, French spent many years working as an independent BI consultant on both large- and small-scale projects around the world.

French holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business studies from Trent University in England. He resides in Norwalk, CT.
